A Dream Trip to the Parallel

The Doctor slowly nodded, "Yeah .. Mickey possibly works for UNIT now, with Martha. The happy couple," he gave a light smile. "Who else is in Torchwood? Is Pete still?" he queried.
"Torchwood there ..? It's complicated. As far as I know, there's only Torchwood Three .. Which has just broken. Two members died a while ago, then Ianto died .. Jack left after that. Gwen Cooper's still there, though, building it up still .. She's pregnant too .. As I said, it's complicated," he smiled slightly. "When I wake up, I'll probably go see Jack. I think he's in the same place I last saw him .." he looked at her. "Want me to drop in a 'hello' from you?" he asked.

"That would be great. Pete is still in charge here, my mom has also joined but she doesn't go out with us." She said with a slight sigh. 'Gwen is pregnant? Knew it would happen one day.' Rose thought to herself.
"I'm also glad for Gwen. Last time we talked she was saying her and Rye wanted to have a family." She then said with a smirk.

He chuckled, "Jackie joined? I sort of didn't think she would .. But still, that's good," he grinned at her. He nodded, leaning back, and thinking. "Yep. Actually .. She's probably given birth by now. But I don't know, because the TARDIS is in the vortex now," he sighed.

"Well, either way it's good. And yeah, we were all surprised when she said she wanted to join us. Dad more then any of us." She said with a laugh. Leaning back in her chair Rose looked at the Doctor.
"So let me get this straight. Right now your in the TARDIS and your asleep?" She asked still a bit confused about it.

He nodded, watching her with thought. "Encounter any interesting aliens?" he asked her with a smile. He nodded briefly, then paused, shimmering. He shivered, "Well, that was a horrible feeling. Sorry, I just woke myself up. Definitely in the TARDIS, and definitely asleep now," he told her.

Rose couldn't help but laugh.
"We mostly get Weevils here. But I don't think there as bad here as they are in your world. Here they just run away and make us chase them down." She told him shaking her head and looking down at the table. She then looked outside.
"See, they always run."

"Ah, Weevils. Other Earth gets a lot of them. And they run too, but are rather mischievious," he chuckled, running a hand through his hair. He shimmered out of view, then returned. "Sorry," he promptly apologised, "I woke up, and had a cup of tea. It doesn't seem to skip much time," he mused.

"That's alright Doctor. You can come and go as you like." She replied with a smile. Then had a blank look on her face for a moment.
"It doesn't surprise me that it was only a few seconds here." She said thinking out loud.

The Doctor looked at her, pausing to think. "Mhm .. Maybe it's something to do with the vortex. It might not be the same when I'm on a planet," he suggested, talking more to himself than to Rose.

"I missed you, Rose," he said quietly, rather suddenly, as if the thought had only just occured to him, but it hadn't. "So much."

"You might be right." Rose said with a smile. Then when to Doctor said he missed her she smiled wider.
"I missed you too Doctor. I miss traveling with you, it was the most fun I ever had and ever will have." She told him gently and calmly.

"Might?" he chuckled, rolling his eyes, "I reckon I am. I'll consult the TARDIS when I next wake up, and she'll tell me if it is," he decided aloud.

He smiled, sadly, at her. "I wish it hadn't worked out the way it did. Maybe you'd still be with me. But .. Things just aren't that lucky with me," he murmured quietly.

"So do I. But we can't change the past." She said gently with a smile. Then she stood up and looked down at the Doctor.
"Do you want to go to the Museum? If I remember right, you love them." Rose asked.

The Doctor sighed softly, watching her. "I know, I know. I suppose in some ways it worked out for the better. You get a set of parents .. And you haven't died. If you had stayed, you might've," he gently bit his bottom lip.

He suddenly grinned at her, "Museum? Yes! Love those. Still do, absolutely," he got to his feet. "Wait .. Rose, what's the date here? Only I haven't been on the other Earth in a while, at the 'current' time, and it's normally - or should be - the same date as here."

Rose looked at him with a confused look. But answered his question.
"It's June 19th. Saturday. Why do you ask?" She said with a slight tilt of her head.

"Curiosity," he grinned, "Never killed the cat," he added on, winking at her. "Right. Museum. Lead the way," he told her, never having been to a museum on a parallel Earth before. And not much on the main Earth.

Rose just grinned at the Doctor. Then she walked towards the museum.
"Your gonna like this one Doctor. Everything at this museum is 'wrong'." She told him over her shoulder with a laugh.

The Doctor raised an eyebrow as he followed her, thinking about her words. "What do you mean by 'wrong'? Factually incorrect? Or just plain different?" he queried her. He reached her side, smiling slightly at her, shimmering in and out of sight. "TARDIS woke me up .. Sorry," he apologised quickly.

Rose shook her head and looked back at him.
"No..... It just all seems wrong because it's completely different from the other world." She admitted with a slight laugh. When he said he was sorry for getting woken up she just waved it off.
"Don't worry about it Doctor."

The Doctor nodded, "Ah .. Of course. Parallels are always strange like that. I remember once a .. Friend .. Slash 'arch enrmy' .. Took me to a parallel where I didn't exist, and neither did any Time Lords, or .. Daleks. If you ever meet an Eternal-Time Lord, Rose, by the name of James, or Scott, do not trust them. Well .. No. You can trust them. Just don't let them tempt you .. I think it's fate that you're here. In a way that's more easily understood. It was 'fate' or 'written in the stars'," he chuckled softly, wondering how he had managed to get on that even though he was the one speaking. "You know what I mean, yes?" he grinned at her, simply nodding at the 'don't worry' comment.

Rose just looked at him a bit dumbfounded. But the nodded.
"Alright then Doctor....... Do you want to go in now?" She asked with a slight laugh and shake of her head.

The Doctor looked at her, and grinned at hearing the question. "Yes! Sorry. Sidetracked. Still got it .. Hasn't yet come in handy, but you never know .. Oh! Did I tell you about Mickey the Idiot?" he asked, looking down at her.

"No. What about 'Micky the Idiot'?" She asked opening up one of the big doors. She loved seeing him so jumpy and happy.... It was something she had grown to miss a lot over the years. Something she had noticed was no one else was like him, no one else looked at stuff like he did.... Not even her.

"We-e-e-e-ell .. He's married. To Martha Jones. Unless she's taken his name .. I don't know, I didn't actually check," the Doctor informed her, watching and holding the door open instead, "Ladies first, sorry," he smiled at her. He was trying to keep cheerful. Gradually, he was going to grow to hating this, only seeing her in his sleep. He never knew when he could sleep, or for how long, or if one day it was just going to stop. And he wished it could never stop, but eventually it would.

"I never thought Mickey would get married..... When you see him tell him congratulations from me." She said shaking her head a bit. Then with a smile she walked through the open door.
"Thank you Doctor." She said looking back at him.

"Neither did I. And I will do," the Doctor smiled at her, and watched her. "My pleasure, Rose," he murmured, walking in after her, and letting the door shut on its own. "Now .. Where first?" he asked her, gazing around.
